Alzheimer's disease is an area of intense preclinical and clinical research. In this animated video, Nature Neuroscience introduces the molecular, cellular and physiological mechanisms associated with the disease, highlighting some of the most recent advances in our understanding of the onset and progression of this devastating neurological condition. The video also illustrates current gaps in our scientific knowledge that will be important to address to generate effective treatments for the disease. Produced with support of a grant from F.
